OUR COWBOYS

Rocky Mountains MAXIMUS COELIUS

Max is an incredibly smart and talented Border Collie. He comes from a working sheep farm in Pennsylvania where his parents are actively working on a day to day basis. He has a lot of drive, but is a genuine pleaser. He has an 'off' button but will do what ever we ask him to. His temperament and disposition are well balanced. He is obedient even to our 1 yr. old. He is a quick learner with athleticism. He is registered with AKC, he is Red & White (or chocolate & white), and is absolutely gorgeous! He is all around the perfect companion.

His puppies will be well rounded with the potential for any competitions; Fly ball, agility, playing Frisbee or working livestock. His bloodlines are filled with champions! His grandmother was imported to the U.S. from a working sheep farm in Ireland, his grandfather has earned his MACH designation through AKC, and this talent has definitely shown through Max's parents and Max!

Max has tons of energy and can go all day! He loves people and is always aiming to please. He loves catching the frisbee and herding the animals for dinner. He thinks he needs to harass our cow so it knows whose the boss! He always comes back from some slobbery kisses and snuggles. His disposition and temperament are ideal for the  perfect working dog companion.

Whenever we get puppies they always tend to end up being 'my' dog.. So when we got Max ,my husband asked me to let max be 'his' dog.. and so I didn't spend alot of time with him at first. He is truly devoted to my husband and is his little side kick! But the best part is, he adores us all! he is a treasured part of our family, I don't know what we would ever do without him!
Max will play fetch all day.. He loves to be with us has a lot of energy and really likes to run and play!

This is his 'say cheese' smile.. he doesn't really care for the camera.. :)

Here are some puppy pictures of him. 8wks & 10wks old..

Maximus means 'The Great', and Coelius comes from the Welsh, meaning 'Faithful'.

BUT if you ask Sis, he is named after the Grinch's dog Max..
