7.5 weeks Old!!

It has been a crazy weekend! I went out of town with my sister.. and I swear the puppies grew TONS while I was gone! They are getting SO BIG!! I think my husband fed them WELL :)

We get Health Certificates tomorrow, and we have started kennel training.. for the two that are flying. I'm just exposing them a couple times a day for about an hour each.. keeping them in their kennel with a blankie.. Hopefully this makes travel for these playful puppies a little easier.. They will probably still howl the whole time.. Luckily, they are both fairly short flights!

We have had some extreme weather here.. REALLY hot then THUNDERSTORMS!! its been great for them to adapt.. But hard for pictures.. They are REALLY hating the hay pile.. It was almost impossible to get pictures with out them panting..

ROPER
Ropers new name is KNOX.. He is super friendly, energetic, loves to play and is full of puppy kisses! His new home will be in Wyoming! He gets to fly this THURSDAY!!
(fingers crossed for weather to be on our side!)

COWBOY
Cowboy's new name is SI .. He is the brave one of the group. He follows us anywhere we go.. Including to the livestock! I've had to go chasing after him more than once that's for sure! Cowboy is going to his new home in Arkansas next week some time..

PATCHES
Patches new name isn't decided yet, last I heard it was between RUBY and KITTY.. She is so playful but so loving too! She always runs off to play but comes back and 'checks in' for a snuggle. She is great with the toys and is the only one who will KINDOF sit through brushing time.. Mostly they all want to eat the brush! This princess is going to her new home in Minnesota on THURSDAY!!

Shelby's R&R..

Shelby's been bottled up since she had her puppies.. So we decided to go on a drive and  played in the mountains today.. We took Max & Shelby and went for a couple little hikes! The puppies were really glad to see us when we got home; we were sure to spoil them with attention too..
Here all three pups were playing tug at the same time with my sunshine.
Shelby felt left out and joined in too!
Here are just a few 'dog' pictures of our outing today! Just thought I'd share..
Where we camp on Skyline Drive is COVERED in wild flowers.. We are a little late in the flower season so they have already started dying off, but it is still just gorgeous!
Here is Shelby and my daughter, yes she thinks she is a dog most of the time..
Enjoying the mountain air together!!
Shelby loves to explore and has the best sniffer..
She can hunt down a fresh gopher trail and try to dig him out!
Max is scared of the camera.. He can be far away and can still hear the sound it makes when I turn it on.. He then disappears until I turn it off.. This picture is of him trying to run away.. But my husband is keeping him with him..
Border Collies LOVE to run.. I love watching them run.. Max kindof charges, but Shelby is so graceful, kinda reminds me of a deer! My little man is trying to catch up.. :)
It was a great day out on the mountain.. I can't wait to go again!
Maybe for the weekend or something!!

6 WEEKS OLD..

The last 2 days have been nothing but wind and rain here.. The puppies were happy to get out and play today.. They got a little muddy :) you'll notice that in the pictures. Be sure to scroll all the way down there are some fun video clips and candids that we took today!
The puppies have had their first set of vaccinations, have been dewormed bi-weekly as a precaution, their dew claws removed, eating solid food and chewing constantly!
Looks like our babies are growing up!!

PATCHES
She is traditionally marked with a darling split face!
She has a well balanced temperament. She is very playful but loves to snuggle with us too! I am a little bias because I am partial to female dogs.. But I think she is gorgeous with the personality to match!
Patches new home will be in Minnesota!

ROPER
Here's a root'n toot'n cow dog! Roper is playful, feisty and fun. He loves people, has a lot of energy and will excel in everything he does because he is all heart. He is mostly chocolate in color with a darling teddy bear face!
Roper's new home is in Wyoming!!

COWBOY
Cowboy is the perfect mixture of his parents! He is SO curious.. can make a toy out of anything, tries everything and follows us everywhere! He is chocolate in color with his cute white face, and my favorite.. his brown ear.. It just adds to his character!
He really wanted off the hay pile, so he was hard to take pictures of!
Cowboy's new name is 'Si' and his home is going to be in Arkansas!

SMILE.. Your on Candid Camera!!
I put the puppies upon the hay stack to 'contain' them for a picture..
They didn't want ANY part of it today!
Patches found a lead rope ties to a panel.. She was playing tug with herself.. Not sure who won.. The lead rope or her!
Not loving the flash!! "SAY CHEESE"
Roper has a lot of energy. He is so funny. he will play hard then just plop down and rest..
Si got busted.. Sneaking out of the barn.. I think the cows caught his attention and he had to go see what they were..
Patches found herself a stick.. Future retriever for sure!
Cowboy is always exploring..
They love to sneak into the garden and hop like rabbits through the plants!
Roper found the lead rope too and wanted some of the action! he wouldn't let go. It was hilarious.. He just kept it tight and growled at it..
Cowboy and patches playing tug! I love the end where patches tries to get it upside down..
The puppies are so much fun! We are going to be so sad when they go to their new homes!

the CALM after the STORM..

We had a big storm today.. when it finally passed over, the puppies got to get out and play in the wet grass! So cute. They were pretty happy just lounging around!
Please remember I am not a photographer!! :)

They all would romp around then rest, wrestle each other than lay down..
I'm thinking the storm maybe made them stress a little!
Here Patches just pounced on Roper.. like a kitty!!
I'm sure she's just getting him back!!
Here's Roper! Always wanting to be the center of attention..
I'm sure he is thinking "what exactly IS a camera!"
Cowboy LOVES to explore.. he is constantly trying to escape into the garden
he LOVES all toys and loves to play tug. .
Our spunky little patches wanted to play everything today! She did it all..
tug, chase (herd) the kids and chew on the soccer ball!
Here's a clip of Patches & Cowboy playing tug with each other!
All in all, after the awesome thunder storm.. It was a great evening with the puppies!
I LOVE cowboy's brown ear! Its sooo cute!!
They all LOVE this old beat up hole filed soccer ball!
I think it is because they can get their mouth on it!
You can hear Their mama Shelby barking in the background.. We didn't let her out while I was filming an taking pictures.  She was a little jealous I think..

5 WEEKS OLD..

The time is flying by! It has been so fun having these puppies during the summer months! They are so fun to watch grow. Be sure to look through all of the posts. You can see the puppies from just a couple of days old and looking like hamsters.. grow into the spunky fluff balls they are today!

The pups will be able to go to their new homes NEXT THURSDAY!! Unless of course their new home is out of State, then they will not be able to fly until July 25th..  Please check 'DETAILS & INFORMATION' or call or email me with any questions you may have.

ROPER
This bundle of Joy is full of personality.. He loves to follow us around, run & play.  His tail goes a million miles an hour when you talk to him and he is always willing to sneak a kiss or two in when your cuddling him!
He is proving to be very smart and should excel in any venue!

Roper has unique markings, striking eyes with a lot of expression..
Roper has a darling personality and is the most playful bordercollie puppy out of the bunch. He loves people and adores children! He loves to explore, is always looking for attention and loves to snuggle. Roper has darling unique markings; he is mostly chocolate in color. He has a little white dot on top of his head, he has four white socks, a partial collar and a white tipped tail. AND we love his little lightning bolt or super hero S on his neck. He is also rough coated and a little fluff ball! Right now his eyes are blue, but they will turn to a gorgeous hazel when he matures!

COWBOY
This root'n toot'n Cowboy likes to think he is the boss..
he keeps his brother and sister in line.. that is, behind him when its time to eat!
Pictures don't do our little cowboy justice. He is full of personality.. Loves kids and is already showing off his instinct in herding!
He has a beautiful rough coat.. He looks chunky.. well he is chunky,
but his hair makes him look so much bigger than he really is. :)
Cowboy is a sweetie.. very well rounded, would do well in any venue, cuddly & playful..
So much expression in his gorgeous eyes!
Cowboy has the cutest personality and is full of love!  He is pretty independent but seems to be the kid’s favorite because of his cute white face and brown ear! he loves to be snuggled! Cowboy is a darling chunky cotton ball! He has a white face and full collar. One brown ear, 4 white socks and a white tipped tail! He is chocolate in color and will have a beautiful thick rough coat like his parents with gorgeous hazel eyes!

PATCHES
Last but not least is our patches.. She is an absolute sweetheart! Loves people, kids basically anyone who will give her attention!
She is hard to photograph in different positions.
She really is just a content puppy!
I'm in love with her split face!
So darling, and it adds to her fun and loving personality!
Patches is a little mellower than her brothers.. But, I think it has more to do with the fact she is observing and taking everything in. She loves to play, loves people.. But REALLY likes watching her parents work and retrieve!
She has a sweet personality and you can't help but fall in love with her! Patches is an absolute sweetie! She is chocolate with traditional white markings, has a full collar, four white socks, a darling split-face and a white tipped tail. She will have a gorgeous chocolate rough coat when she matures with beautiful hazel eyes!
